On September 29th and 30th, 2023, Team Equatorial Gamefishing from Capelle and Partner, Nauru participated in the All-Micronesia Fishing Tournament in Majuro, Marshall Islands. Led by team Captain Christian Oppenheimer, along with crew members Bobby Waidabu, Aleksei Cain, Crisco Dagagio, and Peter Waidabu, they reeled in 1st Prize in the Wahoo Category, landing a remarkable 31-pounder and winning USD $800.00.
Capelle and Partner Nauru proudly co-sponsored the event and awarded USD $2000.00 for the largest Tuna, a whopping 114lb catch by Captain Robin Reimers and his team RMI2.
The tournament brought together fishing enthusiasts from various teams around the Micronesia region, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship. Team Equatorial Nauru express gratitude to the Marshalls Billfish Club for organizing a memorable and successful competition.
